Mr Ruben: The Entrepreneurial Force Building Tomorrow in Dubai

Exclusive GO! Dubai Interview

Dubai has always attracted people who think beyond the ordinary. It is a city where ambition meets opportunity, where ideas can become businesses and where determination can open doors that once seemed impossible. Among the entrepreneurs embracing that spirit is Mr Ruben, a Nepali businessman whose energy, vision and relentless drive have made him a distinctive presence in Dubai’s rapidly evolving business landscape.

Working across real estate, cryptocurrency and gaming, Ruben represents a new generation of entrepreneurs who are comfortable looking beyond traditional business models. Through Golden Gate, he is pursuing a vision built around diversification, technology, opportunity and community. The company describes its focus as combining real estate and emerging crypto opportunities while also creating an engaging gaming experience.

We sat down with Ruben to discover the person behind the ambition, his philosophy on business and what continues to drive him forward.

GO! Dubai: Ruben, you are involved in several very different industries. What drives you as an entrepreneur?

Ruben: I have always believed that life is about opportunity, but opportunity means very little if you are not prepared to recognise it and work for it. I enjoy building things, meeting people and finding new ways to create value.

For me, entrepreneurship is not simply about making money. It is about creating something that can grow, bringing people together and opening possibilities for others. That is what gives me energy every day.

GO! Dubai: Why Dubai?

Ruben: Dubai is an extraordinary place for entrepreneurs. It is international, ambitious and constantly moving forward. You can meet someone from almost anywhere in the world here, and everyone brings a different idea, experience or perspective.

What I love most is the mindset. Dubai encourages you to think bigger. If you have a vision and you are willing to work hard, there are opportunities here that are difficult to find elsewhere.

GO! Dubai: Golden Gate operates across real estate, cryptocurrency and gaming. What connects these sectors?

Ruben: At first they may appear completely different, but they all connect to the future of business and investment. Real estate represents an established and tangible asset class, while cryptocurrency reflects the rapidly developing digital economy. Gaming brings another dimension — entertainment, engagement and community.

Our philosophy is diversification. Golden Gate currently describes its model as allocating investment across these areas, with real estate, cryptocurrency and gaming forming the core of its projects.

But ultimately, technology changes quickly. Entrepreneurs have to keep learning and adapting.

GO! Dubai: You are known for having tremendous energy. Where does that come from?

Ruben: (Laughs.) I think I simply enjoy what I do! When you are passionate about your work, it becomes easier to wake up every morning with motivation.

Of course, entrepreneurship is not always easy. There are setbacks, difficult decisions and moments when things do not go according to plan. But I believe those moments make you stronger. I try to focus on solutions rather than problems.

GO! Dubai: What does success mean to you personally?

Ruben: Success is not only the size of your bank account or the number of businesses you have. Real success is being able to look at what you have built and know that you have created something meaningful.

I also believe success should be shared. If your journey inspires another person to believe in themselves, that is powerful. If you can help someone develop confidence, learn something new or take their first step into business, that is success too.

GO! Dubai: What advice would you give young Nepali entrepreneurs who dream of building a life in Dubai?

Ruben: First, believe in yourself. Second, be patient. And third, work harder than you think you need to.

Do not come to Dubai expecting everything to happen overnight. Learn the market. Understand people. Build relationships. Respect everyone, regardless of their position.

And never stop learning. The business world is changing incredibly fast. The entrepreneur who stops learning eventually gets left behind.

GO! Dubai: What keeps you humble despite your ambitions?

Ruben: I always remember where I started. Nobody achieves anything completely alone. There are family members, friends, colleagues, partners and people who believe in you along the way.

I respect every person I meet. Whether someone is a cleaner, a driver, an investor or a CEO, everyone has a story and everyone deserves respect.

GO! Dubai: Finally, what is next for Ruben?

Ruben: Bigger ideas, more learning and more hard work! I don’t like to sit still.

Dubai is still growing, and I believe there are tremendous opportunities ahead. My goal is to continue building, continue learning and create something that can have a positive impact on people’s lives.

The journey is far from finished.

GO! Dubai: Ruben may be humble about his achievements, but there is little doubt about his ambition. In a city built on vision, transformation and relentless momentum, this energetic Nepali entrepreneur is determined to play his part — one opportunity, one idea and one bold step at a time.
